Arms of Gold CampgroundSaturday was a late travel day, as we only travelled 35 miles to position us closer to the ferry to Newfoundland.  Many of us visited a nearby mall.  We had a great pizza party where we said our good-byes to those leaving the first part of the trip, and we greeted seven new couples joining us for the remaining 27 days.  We now have 21 rigs – a combinations of 5th wheels, motorhomes and now a camping van.

The evening was a dark and stormy night with much lightning, thunder and rain — we are told that it was one of the worst in 70 years.  No damage was done to our RVs.

View from end of campgroundSunday was a free day to explore.  In the evening the Adventure Caravan group went to Rollie’s Wharf where most of us chose the twin lobster tails that was part of the tour package.

We disconnected water and sewer lines, hooked up cars, and went to bed early for an early ferry trip the next morning.  Two couples decided to leave their toad (car towed behind a motorhome) behind at the RV Park, and they will pick them up upon our return in 20 days.
